Why are you an Artist?: Because my big sister was the singer and my brother played piano better and it seemed that I liked to draw/paint/collage & sometimes wrote poetry... it was my niche & still is.

This online magazine is self described as being "Edgy and Enlightened Literature, Art and Music in the Age of Dementia".
Please take a look at the online site at www.madhattersreview.com
Carol Novack, NYC publisher, plans on putting up a gallery of visual poetry in the next issue, which is slated to go live in October 2008, and has asked me to gather and select 30-40 images for this gallery.
In short:

1) Please email two or three jpegs or gifs
to cmehrlbennett@gmail.com
The file name should include the title of the image and if selected will be posted online as a small to medium sized file. I will downsize the file if necessary, or you can try for a 2 megabyte limit yourself.

2) Please also include a short bio and include links to web sites displaying your work within, if you so desire. You may also include a small-medium jpg or gif of yourself.

3) Deadline: August 1, 2008

4) "Unpublished" means that the poems cannot have appeared in print or in a public electronic form, apart from a personal blog or website.
If the image has appeared on your blog or website, please remove it while it is under consideration. You should hear back by late August or early September.

5) Collaborations are not anything new to this website, and indeed, they are heartily encouraged. But please email copy your submission to your collaborator. That way I'll know that your collaborator is aware of the submission & title of the image, and they can contact me/or I them, RE:their short bio/photo, if you haven't already added an informative sentence or two about them onto your own bio.
