"Ann, Don't know if it would help but you might contact Jason Bowles about how to post the "Secret Life of Fluxus" show. I certainly hope you can get it done. And I hope you keep "plugging.""

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
About Me:
All of the past stuff was true once but is true no longer: the Great Tsunami of Newspaper Downsizing swept me and a couple dozen other writers out into the Sargasso Sea of freelance status. Flailing away toward some kind of landfall but nothing in sight.

I will be curating another show for the Tweed Museum (the last was "The Secret Life of Fluxus: the score show" which I still ridiculously hope to get up in a website, maybe on blogspot or something easy) .

This will be a collection-mining expedition that will try to find and tell the Story of this place's making and collecting. and what it's good for.

Anyone got any ideas about what I could do and get paid for, you just let me know, ok? klefkal@cpinternet.com.

[recently joined the ranks of the Newspaper Guild, hoping to get my fedora soon. After a couple decades as a freelance maker of stuff, this is a big change, cubicle, etc. But it's interesting working for daily news: I'm the arts and entertainment person for the Duluth News Tribune, mainly doing the A&E tab the Wave. I have a blog called "Makers" as part of this gig (http://www.areavoices.com/makers) and very little time to do anything else. but still hope to continue with flux.]

We'll be in Twin Cities April 17-19 for some poetry events that Maria is putting on at the U. As for Duluth, I've never actually been there, tho I've been around the Wisc side when I was a kid.

the job--on again, off again, will I be laid off in staff cuts? Will I keep the job? Maybe I want to be laid off in staff cuts! --is running my life and I haven't been able to go anywhere or do anything other than Work. Journalism! harsh mistress! agh! but if you should want to come on up here please do.

Ann, Sorry to hear about the job thing - I'm hearing it from everywhere. another artist friend Mete Sarabi, was just laid off after 15 years & is going through all this too. I'm always up for a visit, St. Louis is a great town - Just give me a yell & we'll plan for it. There's plenty of space if you don't want to deal with hotels . Hope all goes well with the job thing, & feel free to send another work for an upcoming issue if you like.... hint, hint..... Peace, -Keith

Ann, last summer I re-shingled one section of my roof. During that time I discovered ASPHALT ROOFING CEMENT and have fallen in love with using it...only everything I do with it looks and feels like Halloween (not that that's bad). I had forgotten that you've already been down the roofing cement road...until I revisited an online gallery of your work just now. I should pay more attention. Cheers, Allen
