Profile Information

About Me:
I've been an artist for most of my life. I stated out as a painter and gradually lost interest in painting and discovered the world of mail art and collage etc. I have been doing more collaborative work since 1980 when I stumbled upon the postal art network. I have self published my own books , 'zines and postcards and initiated projects using the mail art network. Recently I have drifted more into the internet and the blogging world.

Poor Old Wilf

Our hamster Wilfred died the other day and we buried him in the family plot by the tree house at the bottom of the garden. Under the apple trees with the other two hamsters, Flo the rabbit and the blackbird we found. Quite a little graveyard now with flat stones marking the graves.

He's been ill for a couple of weeks. I think it was just the very old and had lumps and bumps and balding patches. Well over two years ago when we bought him from the pet shop. He seemed to most lively and… Continue

Off to the flea market yesterday in the old donkey cart. The road was strewn with orange. I wish I'd taken my hasselblad - such was the autmnal glory that we beholdeth. dazzling hues of all hueness. the trip trappy bridge is always fun especially if a loaded dung cart is coming the other way but we were spared the scrape and spark of the hooves this time.

The journey takes just 40 minutes around the back of beyond, past the nether fizzles and then further along the byways and leafy hue… Continue

This Is No Place To Dangle David Attenborough

Having secured some vittles from the handy Co-op I have been reading the saturday papers. Interesting articles on storage and even a free memory stick ( you pay for postage and packing ). It always amzes me how much stuff they give away these days- in a recession too. Last week it was Seminal Albums of the last 40 years including Strange Days by the Doors and Forever Changes by Love.. Not sure how The Jesus & Mary Chain got in there though?

The Wheelie Bin gallery is coming on well… Continue

Aah, thanks Alan and Reid for your insightful comments- I shall be processing them later at the A.1. Waste Processing Plant and the forthcoming digital read-out and long paper thing will be rolled into a ball and deposited into the square h*** of indecision.
